Bed Bugs are Heating Up in Toronto
We are at the peak of summer here in Toronto with lots of warm days to enjoy. This is when bed bugs become active. As soon as the temperature reaches around 20 degrees, those little bed bugs start getting active and enjoy travelling when you visit friends and family. Then, boom, when temperature hits 30 degrees, the bed bug populations explodes. That’s when you realize that that you have a problem. One or two bites through the winter and you can write them off as a pimple or getting a scratch but as summer warms up and the bed bug population grows, those red welts are a warning that there is just more than you in your bed.
In the winter, they are less active. The walls of your home are now cold and the bed bugs are not travelling through the walls. If they do decide to hitchhike on your clothes, they often die out in the snow and cold in Toronto.
No matter what time of year, bed bugs will die when exposed to temperatures over 45C. If you live in the Toronto area, we have three sets of bed bug heating equipment available for rent.
Bed Bugs Dead Bugs to the rescue.
