Heat Treatment to the Rescue
One of the reasons that I love my job is that I get to meet all kinds of people from all walks of life. Today was one of those days where I was able to help an entertainer. As a stage performer, my client had hundreds of costumes made of all kinds of exotic materials. Using traditional pesticide methods to kill bed bugs would have meant many, many loads of laundry and hundreds of dollars in dry cleaning bills.
We set up the heating equipment in the bedroom and made sure the costumes were secure on in baskets on the floor. As I write, the room is heating up and killing those bed bugs dead, thereby saving my client lots of work and tons of money. I recommended that the heaters should run for 8 hours to give more time for the heat to soak into all the costumes.
So, another successful day.
