Easy Bed Bugs Traps – Carpet Tape
One of the first things you can do when you suspect you might have bed bugs is to buy double sided carpet tape. It is sticky on both sides. This means it will stick to your floor and also have a sticky side up for the bed bug to be trapped. Run a strip of carpet tape around the floor or carpet at bottom of your bed. This will trap any bed bugs if they cross over the carpet tape.
It is mid July and the bed bug population is starting to explode after all the hot days we have had in Toronto. This means that soon, the the female bed bugs will start moving away from the mattress and bed frame to escape the attentions of the males. This is the best time to trap bed bugs using carpet tape.
You can purchase carpet tape at your local hardware store. I do not recommend dollar store carpet tape as it may not come off your floor or carpet easily.
